What online class can let you attend a traditional high school?

A. That's called dual enrollment, you can't enroll in a free public online high school while enrolling in a free public traditional school. Else the state would be funding your education twice and they won't do so. however, you can enroll in a private online school and take all the courses you need, provided of course you pay the tuition. What online college did you go to and how was your experience?
Q. I have decided to get the rest of my Bachelor's degree from an online institution as in this day and age it really doesn't matter how you get that degree unless it's from Yale, Harvard, or one of the top 10 traditional schoos. I have considered University of Phoenix, but I heard their tuition goes up? I have also considered Kaplan and Jones university but can't find enough feedback on them. AIU has been on probation for the last 2 years so they are not an option. Please help if you have any feedback regarding any online institution or suggestions for research.

A. I've taken courses by DL at: University of South Carolina Excelsior College Brigham Young University Louisiana State University Coastal Carolina University Webster University PCDI (vocational) over the past 26 years. What I've seen is that the quality of delivery has steadily increased until now, there's just about no difference in quality between online and in-class at the same school. As for picking a degree program; you're not restricted to those proprietary schools - almost every state U has an online degree completion program now and it's usually cheaper with a better reputation than the proprietary schools. You can get a degree online from some very well placed universities (UMass, Boston U, Fl State, UC) but the reason you don't [cont.]

What is the best online weight loss program for college students?
Q. I was considering Weight Watchers Online. Just because of the online convenience, and the years of reputation that Weight Watchers has. For all of you with busy lifestyles, similar to that of a college student, what online diet program worked the best for you?

A. Try sparkpeople.com you can create your own personalized diet plan that fits your schedule. I use it and I love it because there are tons of groups with college students and ordinary people my age struggling and working to reach their goal weight. basically it has all of the online resources that other online programs has except its free. plus everyone is very encouraging and there are plenty of resources to keep you motivated. The best weight loss program is one that is personalized for you and with this site you can do that. You might like it just try it out and take a look around the website and see what it has.

What are some good online classes for substitute teacher qualification?
Q. A close friend has asked me this question several times. She wants to know about some reliable online university courses for substitute teacher qualification , medical billing or psychology. She found this website called "Universal Class" online that has a fee of 20.00 dollars, but she's wondering if it's reliable or not. What are some online university courses that I can recommend to her?
Asked by just asking - Tue Aug 21 20:08:24 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I would not recommend wasting your time or money dealing with generic on line universities that have no accreditation. There are many accredited colleges that can offer you classes through distance learning for students who cannot attend traditional classrooms. I am not sure of all that offer classes, but the following do: University of Oklahoma University of Maryland Central Texas College Phoenix University Ball State Likely, University of Missouri also offers distance learning classes, which would make it easier on you.

When making an online purchase how important are security seals to you?
Q. Just wanted to get some honest opinions about thought process when you are thinking about making a purchase online from a store that you never purchased from. Do the security seals make a difference? For instance the HackerSafe, Trust Guard and BBB seals, do they make or break your decision to buy? What is the make or break for your online purchases? @priyanke --> I'm not sure why you would say that I am not being nice. I was just asking a question, it was not my intention to be rude and I'm sorry if it came off that way. A. Any bank that has weathered the current financial storm is safe to invest in. Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, to give you a couple of examples. Now, when we looked into savings for our children, we decided not to go with a college savings plan; the reason is that if one of our children either gets a full scholarship, joins the armed forces, or whatever else, the money saved would not be used, and by trying to use it on anything else it would be hit with so many penalties that it would be like we never invested the cash in the first place. We decided instead to research a medium risk mutual fund, and have one for each of our kids. As they get closer to college age, we'll probably shift the capital into a low risk fund, but this way,… [cont.]

What online homeschool program is the best one?
Q. Hi, Last year I planned all of the cirriculum, kept all the records, etc. for my two sons. I got burned out! I am now looking into a good and less exspensive online program to enroll them in. I love to do the teaching, but all the planning etc. is just to much. My boys are in 9th and 12th grades and we don't have alot of money. The cheapest one I have found so far is $799.00 for this coming year. A Christian program would be my first choice, but would be interested in others too. Can any of you help me out with my quest to find a good learning institution for my boys? Thank you in advance, Happy2bmom!

A. You asked what the best one is and I have to say hands-down, K12 is. However, it won't fit your budget needs. I think you're going to have a problem there, finding a good one that's also inexpensive. There are a lot of great high school choices out there. I would say the cheapest way to go would be to see if your state allows virtual charter schools. These are public schools, but you do the teaching at home. They usually only cost the typical public school fees.

Q. Looking for an online photo gallery function where I can set restrictions on which users can access my different galleries. Photobucket only allows for private and public it seems, would need a bit more advanced restriction settings and a decent looking gallery overview. Thanks!

How do I find online health administration jobs that will allow me to work from home?
Q. Soon I'll have a degree in health administration and I was wondering how to go about finding work online. I don't have a car and I live out in the country so online employment would be ideal for me. I don't want to do any surveys or sell gadgets out of my home or give "parties". I've heard of health care positions that people can work from home. If you know of anything credible please respond to this question. Thank you.

A. A site I found helpful is - It is a free site that has a good directory of companies that hire telecommuters. Hope this helps you find what you are looking for! Remember to never pay to get a job or any type of fee upfront. Good luck!

A. I've recently found a website that will help you make a few extra bucks. I know this idea won't make you instant money, but if you want to make some extra cash in your spare time online, it will do. I've made almost $17.00 in 1 week. I know it's not much, but it's something and I'm just starting out. There is the possibility to make a lot more, depending on the time you spend online. If you'd like more info, just send me an email. I'd post it here, but it is considered spam.

Where online would I have a good chance to sell gold certificate futures?
Q. Basically, selling certificates against existing gold deposits yet to be dug up. Are there any online areas I might stand a good chance of finding reputable buyers? Thanks for any info!

A. Why not forward sell your gold via futures on CBOT or COMEX? You don't have to worry about reputable buyers because it's an exchange traded contract where the exchange assumes all risk. All you need to do is open up an account with a futures broker.
