BeOS was an operating system for personal computers which began development by Be Inc. in 1991. It was first written to run on BeBox hardware. BeOS was optimized for digital media work and was written to take advantage of modern hardware facilities such as symmetric multiprocessing by utilizing modular I/O bandwidth, pervasive multithreading, preemptive multitasking and a custom 64-bit journaling file system known as BFS. The BeOS GUI was developed on the principles of clarity and a clean, uncluttered design. The API was written in C++ for ease of programming. It has POSIX compatibility and access to a command-line interface through Bash, although internally it is not a Unix-derived operating system. BeOS was positioned as a multimedia platform which could be used by a substantial population of desktop users and a competitor to Mac OS and Microsoft Windows. However, it was ultimately unable to achieve a significant market share and proved commercially unviable for Be Inc. I've got some home movies I want to transfer to DVD. I can get the movies into MPG2 without a problem, but the issue arises when I try and burn them to DVD. Nero tries to recode them, messes with the frame rate and introduces compression artifacts - this I don't want. As far as artifacts, you have to run a filter on the captured movie before the DVD. The cause is video is an "upper" and "lower" field. Anti-aliasing will blend the two fields into one dot. a command-line video convertor called ffmpeg, excellent and has several gui front ends that basically have all the presets in lists. One example is kdenlive. And mencoder, similar transcoder software. Google mencoder on youtube. And, I'm only telling about the Linux stuff because you can try it free. Q. we used to be friends but ever since his brother posted a very rude comment calling me a whore and slagging me off becos i dumped him we dont talk. my ex asked out one of my friends and she actually went out with him, she was desperate -_- now he totally ignores me beos i had a go at him being the whore becos soon as i dumped him he asked out one of my friends. me my friends and my ex all used to be mates but now everyone hates him his brother told me to stop turning people against him, but i didnt do anything wrong.. i am friends with his mates but not him anymore and that means i cant really hang out with him anymore becos my ex will be there. will it be awkward? or should i just not speak to him?
